BOB DYLAN ET SES PUBLICS:
UNE HISTOIRE DE MALENTENDUS
Since the beginning of his career, in 1961, Bob Dylan has often changed the subject, from
repertoire and musical style in his songs. He does not seem to have cared
of its listeners, repeatedly surprised by unexpected developments, creators of
misunderstandings. Yet Dylan always preferred the concert to the record, because contact with the
public is essential for him.
But who is Bob Dylan addressing? What roles does he play
the different categories of audience in the conception and dissemination of one’s work?
Can we speak, following the theorists, of a co-construction role in the
creation of his songs and above all, during concerts?
