ヤングギター (YOUNG GUITAR) is a monthly magazine for guitarist that started in May 1969, published by Shinko Music Publishing (currently Shinko Music Entertainment) in 1968. When first published, it started out as a folk magazine, but since the 1980s it has become a magazine that deals with skilled guitarists, focusing on heavy metal, progressive rock, and fusion. "From beginner to high level, the magazine has helped numerous readers being professionals. YOUNG GUITAR is the roots for all top guitarists". フォーク・ギター (FOLK GUITAR) is a Special edition of the magazine.
