ぴあ (PIA), Japan

     The monthly magazine PIA started its publication in 1972: it was the first Japanese entertainment information paper. The magazine covered most of the events in greater Tokyo area. When it became weekly in 1990, it changed its name to WEEKLY PIA. In 1986, 'PIA Kansai version' and in 1988 'PIA Chubu version' were published, each one for specific towns in the country. These magazines suspended their publication in 2011.
