LANDESZEITUNG is a regional newspaper for the Lüneburger Heide, LZ for short, was first published on January 15, 1946. It was the third license for a daily newspaper in the British occupation zone. The LZ is a typical local newspaper based in Lüneburg. The distribution area includes the district of Lüneburg, the Elbmarsch (Tespe), parts of the district of Uelzen (Bienenbüttel, Bad Bevensen) and the district of Harburg (Salzhausen).
