להיטון (LEHITON), Israel

     להיטון (Lehiton, 'The Newspaper') was an Israeli weekly music and light entertainment magazine, published from 1969 to 1991. It began as a bi-weekly in September 1969, founded and edited by Uri Aloni and David Paz. Exactly one year later, in September 1970, it became weekly. Lehiton, which was mainly aimed to the younger generation, created a journalistic genre of a type that was not known or accessible in Israel at that time.
