EL PERIÓDICO MEDITERRÁNEO - originally founded as EL MEDITERRÁNEO - is a daily Spanish newspaper published in Castellón de la Plana. Its area of distribution is the province of Castellón. Founded in 1938, during the Franco dictatorship it was part of the "Movimiento" press chain; since 2019 it has been part of the Prensa Ibérica.
