BIG, Italy

   BIG was a major Italian weekly music magazine in the 1960s. With CIAO AMICI and GIOVANI, it was one of the magazines that contributed in a decisive way to the development of the beat in Italy; unlike these two magazines that privileged the musical aspect and the news about the bands and singers, BIG also often covered topical political and social issues. In 1969, it merged with CIAO AMICI to create CIAO 2001.
